What is physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy or physical therapy is a method of treating neurological, muscular and skeletal disorders using mechanical equipment, electrical currents, manual exercises and sports and other physical factors, which aims to reduce pain and help you function, move and live better.
Exercise, light, ultraviolet and infrared rays, heat and electric currents are the most common methods used in this treatment, which can be an effective help in completing the treatment of arthritis, joint wear, stroke, MS, Parkinson’s, etc.
Today, physiotherapy plays a major role in treating disc and improving this disease. Physiotherapy treatments not only lead to rapid pain relief; Rather, they teach people how to protect their bodies from other injuries.
What does a physiotherapist do?
In the first treatment session, the physiotherapist examines and evaluates your needs. He or she will ask questions about your pain or other symptoms, your ability to move or do daily activities, and your medical history.
The physical therapist will take tests to evaluate the following:
• The degree of ability to move around, stretch, bend, or hold something
• The amount of walking or climbing stairs
• Heart rate or rhythm during activity
• Posture or balance
He will then provide you with a treatment plan. Your number of sessions may be more or less than others and it only depends on your needs.
